So my poor little blog here has been neglected for two good reasons. I discovered Facebook and moved into our new house! (the reason for no pictures)

 Up until now, I have politely ignored all friends' requests to join Facebook. I dismissed Sierra when she tried repeatedly to convince me for over a year to sign up. I would not be swayed- after all, shouldn't I make sure to have laundry and projects and homework done before I find a new way to waste time? And don't I keep in touch with all the people that I actually like anyway?

  No, it turns out I shouldn't! And I like more people than I thought I did... I finally got on when Sierra showed me how she could see what my friends were talking about. That just seemed wrong, so I caved. And I discovered that my friends are talking a lot. Day and night. That first night I linked FB to my blackberry and woke up to find out I got 20 new friends while I slept! Too much fun.

  I now know what my neighbor across the street is thinking(she's having a great vacation), how many kids my long lost college friend has (3), what my prom date from Switzerland is doing (moving in with his boyfriend.. which explains why he never would kiss me...) and how my friend from junior high son's is doing after surgery.  And I can poke my daughter every day, and she pokes me back, and I poke her...

  All that, plus 45 birthday greetings and I was hooked. At first it made me lose track of the blog, but the honeymoon is over and I am ready to say something that is longer than a sentence fragment. But at the moment I'm tired and ready to go to sleep, and I haven't actually said anything that I couldn't have posted on FB in five words or less, but boy it feels good to ramble again. Next time I will ramble about my new house. Which everyone on Facebook already knows about.
